Garlic (Allium sativum)
- Active Compounds: Allicin, ajoene, diallyl sulfides

- Mechanism of Action: Allicin disrupts the cell membranes of fungal cells, leading to cell death. It also inhibits the enzymes responsible for fungal cell wall synthesis.
- Traditional Uses: Garlic has been used for centuries to treat a variety of infections, including fungal skin infections, athlete's foot, and systemic fungal infections.
- How to Use: Fresh garlic can be consumed, or garlic oil can be applied topically to affected areas. It can also be taken as a supplement.
